Meatball: food happy in tough times

In New York recently wine and Food Festival, a competition Meatball madness sold out. That insanity is spread all over the country. Americans think of meatballs perched above from spaghetti all covered in cheese, but Meatball is universal. Weekend Edition commentator Bonny Wolf reports the latest foodie trends that shook things up.

In tough times, comfort food can convince so maybe that's why one of the latest foodie trends should not be too surprising. Gourmet meatballs, anyone? Weekend Edition food commentator Bonny Wolf took note.

BONNY WOLF, BYLINE: If you live in New York City, You've seen this coming.
